Partner-Level Sponsors

Official-Level Sponsors

Hackathon Rules:

1- You can prepare wireframes, outlines, or notes but you cannot start any of your design or development until Saturday September 13th at 10:00 AM. Since all prizes are sponsor prizes, we suggest building a web or mobile application that integrates a sponsor’s technology.

2- Teams can consist of only 1 person but no more than 5 people. If your team is more than 5 people you can still participate but you will not be eligible for any prizes.

3- Your team and your app will be judged based on 3 criteria: 1) Are you solving a real problem in an interesting way? 2) How well did you present? 3) How much progress did you make on your application? You are not required to explain how your app makes money, unless that is part of the problem you solve.

4- If you build using a sponsor’s technology then you are also eligible for the sponsor prize! Hackathon projects can be any type of design / technology project.

5- If you are utilizing a sponsor’s technology and want to be considered for their prize- make sure that you demo your technology to them BEFORE pitches start Sunday at 4:00 PM in case they are unable to see your pitch.

Build the next big app, powered by the cloud.

Up until now, building an app with a reliable, secure and scalable cloud storage required either months of development time to build file system functionality and related security on top of a public cloud provider, or relinquishing your UX and user data to a branded 3rd party solution.

Bitcasa’s new CloudFS service makes it easy to develop custom cloud storage for your apps while maintaining ownership of your UX and data. With pre-built feature sets including file systems, encryption, and sharing, CloudFS APIs provide a fast, affordable way to add storage so that you can focus more of your time and energy on core app development.
